It’s a spotlight created exclusively for young women aged 16–25 who are studying, building,creating, volunteering, or leading in the Food, Agriculture, or Health sectors.

Whether you’re onthe field, in the lab, behind a sewing machine, or growing something in your backyard — your
story matters.

You’re the generation that’s not waiting for permission.

You’re learning, doing, failing forward, and still showing up.

And we want the world to see that.

Celebrating Young African Women Who Are Making Moves in Their Communities

WIFAH Next Gen shines a spotlight on emerging female changemakers—students, early-career professionals, community organizers, farmers, tech enthusiasts, and creatives—who are taking meaningful actions to improve lives around them. From launching school gardens to running mental health campaigns, these young women are driving grassroots change with passion and purpose.

Through storytelling that is raw, honest, and relatable, we share the full journey of young women: the struggles they’ve overcome, the wisdom they’ve gained, and the milestones they’ve reached. These stories humanize success and remind others that leadership is a process of growth, resilience, and courage.

WIFAH Next Gen is a stage for youth-led brilliance—whether it’s a new agritech startup, a health research breakthrough, a sustainable farming technique, or a food security policy idea. We connect these ideas with wider audiences, funders, and potential collaborators, creating opportunities for growth, mentorship, and recognition.
